BMR: Amendment of the EU Benchmark Regulation

On 24 March 2025, the Council adopted a Regulation on financial benchmarks to reduce red tape for EU businesses
In particular SMEs. The new legislative act amends Regulation BMR. (EU) 2019/2089 of 2016 concerning the scope of the rules applicable to benchmarks, the use of benchmarks provided by an administrator located in a third country and certain information obligations.
