SGSS strengthens its UK coverage

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) announces the appointment of Richard Davis as Sales Director and the extended role of Steve Gutowski to cover Financial Intermediaries and Banks (FIB), in a move to strengthen its UK client coverage.

Richard’s remit will be SGSS products as part of the International Sales team within the Coverage, Marketing and Solutions division (CMS), where his main focus will be on UK based Asset Managers and Asset Owners. Richard’s experience in asset servicing sales, combined with his knowledge of the UK and EMEA markets, will support the expansion of SGSS’ UK client sales franchise and enhance its cross-border offering.

Steve will continue with his role as UK Sales Director and start his new remit where he will be responsible for the articulation and execution of SGSS’ business development strategy for Banks, Brokers Dealers and Financial Institutions.

Richard and Steve are based in London and report to Alessandro Cavallari, Head of International Sales at SGSS.

These appointments represent the business’ commitment and ambitions within the UK market.

 

Biographies:

Richard Davis: Prior to joining SGSS, Richard spent over seven years with SS&C, a global, independent fund services and technology company, responsible for Institutional and Hedge Fund sales. Prior to this, Richard held financial services sales roles with fixed income trading platform, Bondcube, and specialist foreign currency brokerage, Ebury Partners (part of the Santander Banking Group). Richard has completed the CFA IMC, and holds a master’s degree in Banking and Finance and a bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southampton.

Steve Gutowski: Steve has over 18 years’ experience in financial services, predominately across the Banks and Broker-Dealer segment. Combined with his knowledge of Societe Generale’s product offering, this will contribute further to the SGSS FIB franchise. Steve gained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from City University London in 2003.
