David Abitbol is appointed Head of SGSS in January 2019. David has more than 20 years of experience in global markets. He has been Chief Operating Officer for Societe Generale Asia Pacific and Chief Executive of Societe Generale Hong Kong Branch, since March 2014. He joined the bank in 1992 within the Group Finance division as an actuary then took up the role as Head of Financial studies and Funding Operations within the Asset and Liability Management Department. In 1997, he moved to Operations in Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) as Project Director for Interest Rate Derivatives and the Futures and Money Market activities. In 2000, David joined the Capital Market Fixed Income Business Line as Programme Director. Among others, he was the bank’s representative for the SwapClear project which established the world’s first OTC clearing service with London Clearing House. In 2004, David moved back to Operations where he held various management positions and was eventually Global Head of Operations in SG CIB, in early 2010.
David has a Masters Degree in Mathematics and Finance from Paris-Dauphine University and the Strastourg University Degree of Actuary.
Alexandra Chauvel is appointed Co-Head of Coverage, Marketing & Solutions in September 2021. She began her career at A.T.Kearney where, over eight years, she took partin the development of the Financial Institution Practice. Early 2007, Alexandra joined Societe Generale as Audit Worldwide Coordinator on SGCIB Client Coverage and Structured Finance activities. In parallel, Alexandra created the module “Pratique du Conseil” in the Finance and Strategy Master at Paris Institute of Political Studies. Early 2013, she joined the Commercial Direction of Private Banking, to create the Credit Advisor function, and then mid-2015 the KYC Advisor function. In addition to the management of 70 deal-structuring experts, she initiated and achieved several client service improvement projects on credit granting and on-boarding, whether in terms of offer, processes or digital solutions. Since February 2020, she is Transformation Leader for SGSS on the Clients Value Chain.

Gildas Le Treut is appointed Co-Head of Coverage, Marketing & Solutions in September 2021. He joined SGSS as Head of Sales and Relationship Management in May 2018 after 11 years at ABN Amro Clearing. Since 2007, he has been successively Managing Director of the branch in France (Fortis Bank Nederland), Global Head of Product & Network Management and Global Director of Prime Services. He has developed ABN AMRO Clearing franchise for institutional investors, banks, asset managers and hedge funds. He started his career in 1996 at BNP Paribas Securities Services in the equity clearing team where he occupied various positions before being promoted as Sales & Relationship Manager for Continental Europe.
Gildas Le Treut has a Masters degree in Bank & Finance from Sorbonne University.
Lionel Duvernay is appointed Head of Chief Administrative Office in May 2021. He joined Societe Generale in 1998 in the General Inspection department. In 2005, he was appointed Head of Debt Capital Market Operations in Europe, then in the US, covering middle and back office functions for Securitization. In New York, he is subsequently appointed Chief of Staff to the COO Americas in 2008. After an experience of Program management within MARK/CTY, he became in 2012 Chief Financial Officer for GLFI (Global Finance) and CORI (Coverage & Corporate Finance) Business Units. In 2017, with the creation of DFIN/DTO (Digital & Transformation Office), he took the worldwide responsibility of DFIN project management teams.
Lionel is a graduate of Telecom SudParis and HEC Paris.
Gaëlle Duclos is Head of Fund Services Operations and a member of SGSS' Executive Committee.
Gaëlle started her career in 1993 at Indosuez, first within General Inspection and then as Business Associate in charge of North Asia (export credits). She joined Societe Generale group in 2003 within the Corporate and Investment Bank where she held various positions in Capital Market and Structured Finance Operations. Gaëlle currently supervises International Private Banking Operations.
Pascal Guillot is Head of Securities Banking Operations and a member of SGSS' Executive Committee.
Before joining SGSS' team, Pascal Guillot has held, from August 2013 to August 2017, the position of Head of Corporate, Investment and Private Banking operations in Europe (outside France), where he led the integration of Newedge UK operations and private banking within GBS. Previously, he was responsible for the operations of Lyxor (2008-2013), COO Sales of the Equity and Index Derivatives Department (2003-2008), COO of the Commodities Department (2001-2002) and Head of SG Energie USA (1997-2001). He joined SGSS in September 2017 as Deputy Head of Securities Banking Operations, and is now Head of Securities Banking Operations in June 2018.
Pascal began his career at the Inspection in September 1990 and holds a degree from Sciences Po Paris and a Master's degree in Public Law.
Mathilde Guérin began her career at Societe Generale in 1991 and held various positions within the investment bank and the Custody Services Department, where she managed transversal studies and project coordination. She participated in the analysis of all IT and operational aspects of the SGSS acquisition of UniCredit’s securities services in 2005. She was then appointed programme manager for the migration of Pioneer Asset Management’s Luxembourg funds. In 2008, Mathilde Guérin became Global Relationship Manager of Pioneer Asset Management, before being appointed Global Head of Sub-custody Network Management in 2011, followed by her appointment as Head of Product Engineering in 2016, in charge of developing SGSS products and solutions.
Mathilde is a graduate of the Ecole des Mines (Engineering School) in Saint-Etienne, France.
