eIDAS: Regulations entered into force on 24 December 2024

On 4 December 2024, the European Union published Commission Implementing Regulations laying down rules for the application of eIDAS Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 910/2014).
The Regulations are as follows:
- Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2977 laying down rules for the application of eIDAS Regulation as regards person identification data and electronic attestations of attributes issued to European Digital Identity Wallets.
- Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2979 laying down rules for the application of eIDAS Regulation as regards the integrity and core functionalities of European Digital Identity Wallets.
- Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2980 laying down rules for the application of eIDAS Regulation as regards notifications to the Commission concerning the European Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem.
The Regulations entered into force on 24 December 2024.
