Seeking New Challenges
“I'm trying each year to do something new, different and challenging for charity.” Andrew Duffin, Head of Sales for Emerging Markets at SGSS, sums up the reason for his participation in the UK Alzheimer's Society Inca Trail challenge across the Peruvian Andes.
His efforts raised around €2,500, every cent of which goes to the Alzheimer's Society (http://alzheimers.org.uk/), which he describes as a “truly worthwhile organisation”. Andrew brings back more than sponsorship cash: a changed perspective on life.
“Machu Picchu, the legendary lost city of the Incas, is a magnificent sight, but everything was inspiring. Many of the group have family members who suffer from dementia. Their stories of how they all cope renew your faith in human nature.”
